“Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”

The word “Hosanna” means, “Save now!” The word is found in Psalm 118 and refers to God’s salvation of humanity. It is always associated with the use of palm branches. It was an invocation for help but became associated with jubilation and welcome. Let us welcome the Lord with jubilation in our hearts as He prepares to save us through His death and resurrection. “Hosanna in the highest!”
