New Date for Church Opening
Yesterday, Archbishop Jose Gomez had a zoom conference with the priests of the Archdiocese informing us that churches would be closed until July 31. He will continue to work with the health departments in Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties to see if other options are available. He and the other bishops continue to be very concerned about the health of all parishioners in the Archdiocese.
The other restrictions regarding the celebration of the Sacraments remain in place until further notice.
The Archbishop empathizes with all of us as we struggle with the sad consequences of the COVID 19 virus: sickness, loss of life, financial and the suspension of the sacraments. I will keep you informed.
