As we follow the story of the Sermon on the Mount Jesus now becomes the teacher. All sin starts in the heart. The mind and will carry it out. Someone once said, “The eye sees what the heart feels.” How true. An angry, lustful, greedy, or envious heart will color the way we view people and the world. To avoid such a perspective, we must look into our heart and ask the Lord for help. This comes through grace and our intention to change. Let us ask the Lord to open out hearts to love, so that we will see the world through his eyes.
