Mark 7:31-37
“Ephphatha!” is a word in Aramaic that means “Be opened.” The deaf man’s ears were opened. His speech impediment was cured. What do we need to have “opened” in our lives to hear the Word of God and speak it “more clearly?” Are we “spiritually deaf” at times? How can we “open our hearts” more to God’s voice in our lives? Once this happens, we, too, will boldly proclaim the goodness and power of Jesus Christ.
