Join us For Mass this Sunday, June 14th - Feast of Corpus Christi While you are attending Mass or visiting the church, our first priority is your health and well- being. Therefore, we need to follow the requirements determined by the Archbishop. SCHEDULE: 6:00am (Spanish); 9:00am (Spanish); Noon (English); 3:00pm (Spanish); 6:00pm (Spanish) PLACE: Mass will be outside in the parking lot and limited to 100 people (per the Archbishop) WHAT DO I DO? RSVP We will accept 40 reservations by phone. Please call the office and speak to a staff member during business hours to reserve seats for up to 5 people. (9:00am – 5:00pm) We will not be able to accept reservations by voice mail. DRIVE-IN/WALK-IN This will be on a first come/first serve basis. DIRECTIONS Entrance: Everyone (cars and people) must enter through North Gate – next to John Paul II House. This will help us to keep count of those attending. (We will have to coordinate the entrance of cars with the people walking in. I suggest that we have 2 ministers at this gate.) Parking Please park in the school parking lot. Parking will be limited due to distancing of cars. Once the lot is full cars will have to be parked on the street. Entrance/Check-In for Mass Once you have parked or walked in, proceed to the front of the Church to the check-in tent. It will be located between John Paul II House and the Church. You will be asked if you have any of the COVID 19 symptoms; your temperature will be taken; contact information (name and phone number) must be given. (In the event someone tests positive for the virus we will have to notify everyone who attended that Mass.) A Minister of Hospitality and Health will direct you to the back parking lot where an usher will seat you. Social distancing and masks will be required. Families can be seated together; all other people will be seated 6’ apart. The Archbishops asks that we receive Holy Communion in the hand for the time being. Funeral Mass for George Floyd June 9, 2020 Today, at the request of the California Catholic Conference of Bishops, all parishes in the State of California will celebrate Mass in memory of George Floyd and the healing of sin of racism and its effects in our lives and country. All parishes will use the same readings and, in place of a spoken sermon, congregations observe a period of silence and silent reflection and prayer for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Archbishop Gomez has also approved ringing church bells for the same period of time in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. As usual, we will be live streaming our English Mass at 8:00am and our Spanish immediately following. El Obispo Clark ha aprobado nuestro plan para la Fase 1 que nos permitirá abrir la iglesia para la oración privada ante el Santísimo Sacramento. La iglesia estará abierta de lunes a viernes de 5:00p.m. a 8:00p.m. Se nos permite tener 10 personas a la vez. Pueden permanecer solo 15 minutos a menos que nadie más esté esperando. Se debe usar máscaras y se debe observar el distanciamiento social. Voluntario 1 lo saludara, le tomará la temperatura (termómetro sin contacto) y le preguntará si tiene algunos de los síntomas de Covid 19. Bishop Clark has approved our plan for Phase 1 which will allow us to open the church for private prayer. The church will be open Monday – Friday: 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We are allowed to have 10 people at a time. They may stay for only 15 minutes unless no one else is waiting. Masks must be worn and social distancing must be observed. Volunteer 1 will greet you, take your temperature (touchless thermometer) and ask if you have any of the Covid 19 symptoms. Should you have any symptoms we will ask you to come back once you are asymptomatic. We will also ask for your name and a phone number. In this way, if anyone comes down with the Covid 19 virus, we can notify those who were also in the church at that time. You must sanitize your hands. Volunteer 2 will seat you in the church. When you leave your pew will be sanitized. We know that people will have to meet certain conditions in order to enter the church. However, this is for your health and the health of others. We hope to be able to hold public Mass within two weeks.
