28 de marzo de 2021 San Marcos 11: 1 - 10 "Hosanna, bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor". La palabra "Hosanna" significa "¡Salvanos ahora!" La palabra se encuentra en el Salmo 118 y se refiere a la salvación de la humanidad por parte de Dios. Siempre se asocia al uso de ramas de palma. Era una invocación de ayuda, pero se asoció con júbilo y bienvenida. Demos la bienvenida al Señor con júbilo en nuestros corazones mientras se prepara para salvarnos a través de Su muerte y resurrección. "¡Hosanna en las alturas!"

March 28, 2021 Mark 11: 1 – 10 “Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” The word “Hosanna” means, “Save now!” The word is found in Psalm 118 and refers to God’s salvation of humanity. It is always associated with the use of palm branches. It was an invocation for help but became associated with jubilation and welcome. Let us welcome the Lord with jubilation in our hearts as He prepares to save us through His death and resurrection. “Hosanna in the highest!”

5 domingo de Cuaresma 21 de marzo de 2021 Juan 12: 20 – 33 Sermón de la Montaña En la cima de una colina de Galilea, Cristo pronunció el sermón que se conoce como el Sermón de la Montaña. Jesús enseñó a sus seguidores el Padrenuestro y les contó varias parábolas. El sermón también contenía las Bienaventuranzas y las enseñanzas de Jesús sobre las leyes de Dios, que esperaba que sus seguidores respetaran. En el evangelio de hoy, Felipe y Andrés llevan a los conversos griegos al encuentro del Señor. ¿La gente viene a nosotros para preguntarnos cómo pueden encontrarse con el Señor? ¿Somos un testimonio público suficiente para que la gente sepa que podemos llevarlos al Señor? 5th Sunday in Lent March 21, 2021 John 12: 20 – 33 Sermon on the Mount On the summit of a Galilean hillside Christ gave the sermon that has come to be known as Sermon on the Mount. Jesus taught his followers the Lord’s Prayer and told them several parables. The sermon also contained the Beatitudes and Jesus’ teachings about God’s laws, which he expected his followers to uphold. In today's Gospel, Philip and Andrew bring Greek converts to meet the Lord. Do people come to us to ask how they can meet the Lord? Are we enough of a public witness that people know that we can take them to the Lord? Even during the pandemic, we can lead them to Him through phone calls and social media. What can we do this week to invite people to know the Lord?

4 domingo de Cuaresma 14 de marzo de 2021 Juan 3: 14 – 21 Hoy, San Juan interrumpe su historias de curaciones y enseñanzas de Jesús. Nos envía un "breve memorando” que resume el propósito del ministerio de Jesús, es decir, que el Padre nos amó tanto que envió a su Hijo para salvar al mundo. La visión de Dios es de esperanza. En medio de los desafíos locales y globales de hoy, no olvidemos esta virtud teológica de la esperanza. En palabras de San Pablo, "¡La esperanza no nos decepcionará!" ¡La Resurrección será la prueba final de eso!

4th Sunday in Lent March 14, 2021 John 3: 14 – 21 Today, St. John interrupts his flow of Jesus’ healings and teachings. He sends us a quick memo summarizing the purpose of Jesus ministry – namely, that the Father so loved us that he sent his Son to save the world. God’s vision is one of hope. In the midst of today’s local and global challenges, let us not forget this theological virtue of hope. In the words of St. Paul, “Hope will not leave us disappointed!” The Resurrection will be final proof of that!

3 domingo de Cuaresma 7 de marzo de 2021 Juan 2:13-25 “El celo por tu casa me va a consumir.” Las palabras del rey David enfatizan que había sido insultado por su devoción a Dios. ¿Qué significa estar consumido por este santo celo? El santo celo se expresa en acciones de fe que nos acercan al Señor. Es una atención más enfocada al Señor en palabras y actos de caridad. La Cuaresma nos da la oportunidad de volver a enfocar nuestra atención en el Señor.

What does it mean to be consumed with this holy zeal? 3rd Sunday in Lent March 7, 2021 John 2:13-25 “Zeal for your house will consume me.” King David’s words emphasize that he had been insulted for his devotion to God. What does it mean to be consumed with this holy zeal? Holy zeal is expressed in actions of faith that draw us closer to the Lord. It is a more focused attentiveness to the Lord in word and deed. Lent gives us an opportunity to refocus our attention on the Lord.

A partir del lunes 8 de marzo, se celebrarán misas de lunes a viernes (8:00 a.m. y 6:30 p.m.) dentro de la iglesia, incluidas la Misa de vigilia del sábado a las 5:30 p.m. Limitaremos el número a 75 personas por el momento. Beginning on Monday, March 8th, weekday masses (8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.) will be celebrated inside the church, including the 5:30 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass. We will be limiting the number to 75 persons for the time being. We will also be celebrating baptisms, weddings, quinceañeras and funerals (not Covid related) in the church again, limited to 75 persons. Music will remain as is: one cantor and one musician, both must wear masks. As per the Archdiocese protocols, temperatures will continue to be taken, phone numbers recorded, social distancing and masks are mandatory. Windows and doors will be eft open. Entrance to church will be on the side door next to the sacristy. The people need to exit through the front doors in the vestibule. Reservations will still be accepted. Sunday masses will continue to bend outdoors due to the large number of attendees.

Segundo domingo de Cuaresma 28 de febrero de 2021 Marcos 9: 2 – 10 “De repente, mirando a su alrededor, ya no vieron a nadie más que a Jesús solo con ellos”. San Marcos dice que después de la visión en la montaña, los discípulos solo ven a Jesús, nadie más. ¡El énfasis en Jesús solo dice que Jesús es la única revelación de Dios para nosotros! Para nosotros los cristianos, Jesús, y solo Jesús, es la clave para comprender al Padre. Pidamos a Jesús que nos muestre al Padre, la fuente de toda misericordia.

2nd Sunday in Lent February 28, 2021 Mark 9: 2 – 10 “Suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone but Jesus alone with them.” St. Mark says that after the vision on the mountain, the disciples see only Jesus - no one else. The emphasis on Jesus alone tells that Jesus is the only revelation of God for us! For us Christians, Jesus, and only Jesus, is the key to understanding the Father. Let us ask Jesus to show us the Father – the source of all mercy.
