Jesús ve una gran multitud; tiene piedad de ellos. Esta palabra en griego corresponde a una palabra hebrea que significa "vientre". This word in Greek corresponds to a Hebrew word that means “womb.” In the Biblical world, this is the source of the deepest of emotions. With this powerful word, Jesus shows His compassionate love for all.

14th Sunday in Ordinary Time July 4, 2021 Mark 6: 1 – 6 Happy Independence Day! Jesus arrives in Nazareth as a successful healer and miracle worker. The people are jealous and take offence. Jesus is rejected by the members of his own synagogue – the people he loves. He wants to heal; however, they lack faith. Let us pray for those who struggle with jealousy. They are living in a “world of hurt.”
