2do domingo de Cuaresma 13 de marzo de 2022 Lucas 9: 28 – 36 Hoy vemos a Jesús revelando la gloria de Dios como su Hijo unigénito. Con Jesús viajamos de la tentación a la transfiguración: del desierto a la cima de una montaña de gloria, de la muerte a la vida. Mediante la oración y las obras de caridad permitimos que la gracia de Dios nos transforme para que todos vean la bondad de Dios. Ayudamos a otros a viajar desde su “desierto personal” hacia la bondad de Dios que habita dentro de ellos. A través de nosotros, ellos también aprenden cuánto los ama Dios.

2nd Sunday in Lent March 13, 2022 Luke 9: 28 – 36 Today we see Jesus revealing God’s glory as his only begotten Son. With Jesus we journey from from temptation to transfiguration – the desert to a mountaintop of glory, from death to life. Through prayer and works of charity we allow God’s grace to transform us so that all will see the goodness of God. We help others journey from their “personal desert” to the goodness of God who dwells within them. Through us, they also learn how much God loves them.

1 domingo de Cuaresma 6 de marzo de 2022 Lucas 4:1-13 Hemos escuchado esta historia antes. Sin embargo, ¿lo hemos escuchado a través de las palabras del Shemá, la profesión de fe judía? “El Señor tu Dios es uno. Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, alma y fuerzas… y estas palabras estarán sobre tu corazón.” Aquí hay un equilibrio que se necesita para vivir la vida. Todo comienza con el corazón. Cuando se vive de esta manera, nuestro ego no se vuelve loco; estamos en paz con nosotros mismos y con el mundo porque somos “uno” con el Señor.

First Sunday in Lent March 6, 2022 Luke 4:1-13 We have heard this story before. However, have we heard it through the words of the Shema, the Jewish profession of faith? “The Lord your God is one. You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul and strength…and these words shall be on your heart.” There is a balance here that is needed for living life. It all starts with the heart. When lived in this way, our ego doesn’t run wild; we are at peace with ourselves and the world because we are “one” with the Lord.
