19 de junio de 2022 “Sacramento de la Misericordia, signo de unidad, vínculo de caridad”. San Agustín Hoy celebramos la Solemnidad del Cuerpo y la Sangre de Jesús – la Eucaristía. El Evangelio de hoy nos da un vistazo de lo que vendrá en la Última Cena. Aquí Jesús alimento a 5.000 hombres (10.000 o más si se incluyen mujeres y niños) con pescado y pan. Jesús alimentará a millones con su propio Cuerpo y Sangre. El mensaje detrás de la Eucaristía: liderazgo humilde y de servicio. Jesús nos muestra esto de una manera poderosa, a saber, lavando los pies de sus apóstoles. Nosotros también estamos llamados a dar; tal vez no nuestra vida por Cristo, pero ciertamente nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro, y con un espíritu de humildad.

Sunday June 19, 2022 “Sacrament of Mercy, sign of unity, bond of charity”. St. Augustine Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus – the Eucharist. Today's Gospel gives us a glimpse of what is to come at the Last Supper. Here Jesus feeds 5,000 men (10,000 or more if women and children are included) with fish and bread. Jesus will feed millions with his own Body and Blood. The message behind the Eucharist: humble and servant leadership. Jesus shows us this in a powerful way, namely by washing the feet of his apostles. We, too, are called to give; perhaps not our life for Christ, but certainly our time, talent, and treasure, and with a spirit of humility.

Through Baptism we become members of the Blessed Trinity. We, too, are called to love on another through our special mission/vocation as Christians.
